Hyperrealistic Drawing - Extracting the brightest light from the deepest charcoal
As a Zurich-based artist behind FABulousART, I use the precision of hyperrealism to explore the many facets of human existence. My charcoal drawings are more than just images; they are invitations into emotional worlds, creating a profound bridge between the artwork and you, the viewer. What defines my work is the play of extremes: using the inherently dark medium of charcoal, I create radiant light and flawless shades of white.
For me, art is the ultimate expression of my freedom. My pieces are not meant to be merely aesthetically captivating; they serve as catalysts for reflection and dialogue. I invite viewers to immerse themselves in these evocative worlds and to find their own life experiences reflected within my stories.
Education and Career
For as long as I can remember, pencil and paper have been my constant companions. Yet, my path to art wasn't a traditional one – it has been shaped by a spirit of discovery and a deep love for detail
With a background as a florist, I learned not just to look at the delicate structures of nature, but to truly understand them. This fascination with the perfection found in detail is something I carried over into my art. As a self-taught artist, I have spent years teaching myself and refining the techniques of hyperrealism.
Today, black charcoal is my medium of choice. I am fascinated by how such a raw material can create almost lifelike works through the interplay of light and shadow. What began with my first exhibitions in 2020 has since taken me on an international journey – yet the heart of my work remains the same: capturing the quiet perfection of a single moment on paper.
